11 MONTHS OLD

jordan and brendan are now 11 months old! i can't believe that they will be 1 year old in one month, it really did go pretty fast. brendan has 3 teeth now and jordan has 2. brendan is almost walking/crawling, jordan is happy just hanging out and watching his brother do all the work.

JORDIE BOY

since i had a pic of brendan by himself a while ago, i thought i better get one up of just jordan, otherwise aunt sara starts thinking we are playing favorites. aunt sara always has jordan's back!

WE WILL MISS YOU CLAIRE

this past week was the last day that our in-home nanny, claire, was with us. we will miss her much, but wish her all the best in nursing school. love you claire!

FLORIDA VACATION

here are a few pics from our recent trip to florida. my in-laws got a last minute condo for the week of spring break in daytona beach and took us along for the ride. and what a trip! we flew down, and yes, that includes all 5 of us and just hung out for the week. i have decided that it is not very relaxing to take 10 month old twins on extended vacations, but we made it through the week! the weather was beautiful, until we got off the plane in chicago, where it was snowing. welcome back to the real world.

BRENDAN BEAN

i just had to post this pic of my little brendan paul. i love that you can see his two little teeth in there...he makes me laugh on a daily basis, so much personality already!

THE WHOLE FAMILY

easter sunday after church at papa and oma essing's house. i was again reminded this morning that we are so lucky to live in a country where we have the freedom to go to church and worship with other believers. and i had my "proud mom" moment at lunch when justin asked to pray, and then proceeded to thank god for sending his son to die for us. even at the age of 5, he is starting to see that easter is not just about bunnies and candy.

ooops...forgot to take the ugly bibs off first. and trying to get a good pic of all three kids is like trying to keep your hair dry in a pool. it cannot be done.

10 MONTHS OLD

can you believe these guys are 10 months old already! i was just about to give them a bath tonight and i thought i'd try to snap a quick pic of all three. well, that's always a joke, trying to get all three to look good at the same time. this is the best i could get of all three. brendan (on the left) is walking all over the house in his new walker. jordan (on the right) likes to just sit and think about it. he is in no hurry to do much. and justin (in the middle) has been having fun at school learning how to read and riding his new bike he got for christmas. we are busy remodeling some in our house so the little guys have a room of their own and getting ready to go to daytona beach for spring break in a few weeks. i'll keep you posted!

WACKY DRESS DAY

justin had "wacky" dress day at school today. claire was at our house today and helped justin pick out his "wacky" clothes. i love that he is such a free spirit and is not shy about dressing like this in front of his friends. i hope he keeps his good attitude of not caring what others think all the way through school. and i love how when he gets next to claire, all of a sudden he tries to look nice and normal. we sure do love claire at our house and are so glad to have her on wednesdays!

READING THE PAPER

9 MONTHS OLD

the twins are 9 months old already! but the past two weeks have been long ones. first, jordan had the cold and RSV. now brendan has it and he was just miserable in these pictures. i only got a few of him and in almost all of them he is so sad. the picture above pretty much sums up how he felt. hopefully he will soon be feeling better. in the picture of the two of them it looks like jordan is letting brendan in on a little secret, mom better watch out...then you have big brother justin, who just had to be in the picture too. he barely fit in the bucket, but somehow made it work!

STILL SICK

just asking for prayers and healthy thoughts to be sent our way. jordan was in the hospital last week with RSV and now brendan has it. please keep us in your thoughts and prayers, as it has been a very long winter and the germs are just hanging out at our house. hopefully soon we can open up this house and let the fresh air in....i can't wait for spring!

THE HAIR

here are the brothers with their fresh-out-of-the-tub hair dos. of course, jordan has just a bit more hair. i had to really work to get brendan's to stand up. but they look so cute.

DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING

ok, it's official. i am addicted to digital scrapbooking. here are a couple samples of what i have been working on this weekend. as soon as i have scrapped all the "real" photos i have, i am not printing any more. i have vowed to only do my scrapbooking digitally and print the whole page instead. then i can just slide the 12x12 page into my books. much easier and much cheaper.
